Garlic & Mozzarella Pizza Bread

I can't make homemade pizza without home made garlic bread. My recipe has a slight twist. Firstly, I make a pizza base and roll it out as if I'm making a pizza. Secondly, I add small nuggets of mozzarella. This isn't a must although I think it's worth it. You can make this as an appetiser whilst your pizzas bake. If you have lots of tomato sauce you can even use it as a dip!

Makes 1

Hands-on Time 5 minutes

Cooking Time 9 minutes

Ingredients

25g Unsalted butter, softened

2 Garlic cloves

Pinch of salt

75g Mozzarella (mini if you can find them)

Equipment

Small bowl

Micro-grater

Spatula

Pastry brush

Preheat your oven to 220°C/200°C(Fan)/425°F/Gas mark 7.

Prepare your baking sheet with a sprinkling of flour and semolina mix as instructed in the pizza base recipe.

Roll out your pizza base on a slightly floured surface, as you would when making a pizza, and transfer to the baking sheet.

Add your butter to the bowl and grate the 2 cloves of garlic over it. Sprinkle over a generous amount of salt and combine with a spoon.

Brush the mixture over the top of the pizza base.

Dot the mozzarella over the top.

Place the baking sheet into the oven on a high shelf and bake for 9 minutes until golden.

Enjoy!
